If you have ever seen a camouflage pattern that can be worn anywhere and for virtually any environment, take a long hard look at this. MultiCam is the amazingly versatile camo pattern developed by Crye Precision in cooperation with the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research Center. MultiCam adapts to various geographic, lighting and climatological conditions to become part of the environment. MultiCam provides concealment unlike anything ever developed, taking on the shades and subtleties of the surrounding environment while disguising volume and shape.

The problem of inappropriate camouflage became glaringly apparent shortly after US troops were deployed to Afghanistan, where daily footage of the US forces in action pointed out the inadequacies of desert, digital and woodland camo in some of Afghanistan's diverse environments and seasonal shifts. Crye Precision approached the problem scientifically by studying how wildlife adapted its camouflage protection to various geographic and climatological conditions, as well as studying how patterns became visible in open areas or up close. The result was a super versatile camouflage pattern that achieved even greater success than expected in multiple tests conducted by the US Army over a year and a half period.

MultiCam has become the most diverse pattern yet. For the Army it is the camo pattern of the future, for Tru-Spec it's here today.
